Marvellous Maths

Today the rectangles learnt about tens and ones. We made the number 34 with 3 bundles of ten and 4 ones. Then we found it on our hundreds board. Aren't we clever!!

The Pick Box

This is our pick box. Every second day we choose a book from here. 

This book is meant to give us confidence and help increase our fluency. 

We may have seen this book before or it may be a level easier than what we are reading during our guided reading sessions. 

We are responsible for managing ourselves and getting our own book from the right place.

Our Special Visitor

Today we had a VERY special visitor to our class... Alleyra! 

We saw how she gets around at the moment in a cool wheelchair and she shuffles around really fast on the floor!! 

Then we got to write our names or draw a picture on her cast!

A lot of us are still forgetting:

MONDAY: Is library day - books must be returned before 9am in order to get a new book out in the afternoon. Too many of us are leaving our books in our book bags OR at home. There is a class competition for the most books out and we ALL want to win!

SPARE CLOTHES: We are still getting muddy at play times and not bringing in an extra set of clothes. You are most welcome to bring the clothes in and leave them in our cupboard so they are not being carried to and from school everyday. These also do not have to be the most fashionable clothes! Sometimes this encourages muddy play!

Reaching our goals

Tye's hedgehogs

Last week Tye and Miss Macartney practised their fine motor skills! They made hedgehogs from play dough and matchsticks.
